Nigeria’s U‑17 Women’s national team, nicknamed the Flamingos, have identified their likely group opponents for the 2026 FIFA U‑17 Women’s World Cup.
The African qualification campaign remains in its second round, with four teams expected to earn berths in the tournament.
In the first leg of the qualifying tie, Nigeria will travel to Abidjan to face Guinea this weekend.
The Flamingos will return home for the second leg at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Saturday next week.
Should they progress, they will then play the winner of the matchup between Benin Republic and Sierra Leone in the final qualifying round.
If Nigeria secures qualification, they will be assigned CAF Slot 1, which places them in Group B.
The other teams in that group will be the reigning champions from Korea DPR, Poland, and Puerto Rico.
Morocco will host the competition from 17 October to 7 November 2026.
