Turkey: Onuachu Wins Süper Lig Goal of the Season Award

Nigeria striker Paul Onuachu has been named the winner of the Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Season, reports DAILY POST.

The 32‑year‑old produced a spectacular scissor‑kick finish for Trabzonspor in a 4‑2 home win over Fatih Karagümrük last September, a goal that received the most votes from fans.

Onuachu, who is known for his towering frame, delivered an acrobatic finish from inside the box.

DAILY POST notes that Onuachu had already earned the September Goal of the Month award for the same strike.

Fenerbahçe midfielder Marco Asensio finished second, while Beşiktaş’s Orkun Kökçü came in third.

Across all competitions, Onuachu scored 26 goals and provided two assists in 43 appearances for the Black Sea Storm.
