Tuggar mourns ex-Bauchi deputy governor, Sule Katagum

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, expressed deep sorrow following the death of former Bauchi State Deputy Governor Audu Sule‑Katagum.

In a condolence message released by his media aide, Alkasim Abdulkadir, on Sunday in Bauchi, Tuggar described Sule‑Katagum as a respected elder, a trusted leader, and a devoted son of Katagum whose wisdom, humility, and unwavering service had touched countless lives.

“Today, Bauchi State and the Katagum Emirate have lost one of their finest sons. His counsel, kindness, and commitment to the welfare of his people will be sorely missed,” he said.

He offered his deepest condolences to the Emir of Katagum, the Katagum Emirate Council, the deceased’s family, and the people of the state. Tuggar also prayed to Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and comfort all who are grieving this painful loss.

Sule‑Katagum, who also held the chieftaincy title of Wazirin Katagum, died on Saturday at the age of 69. He served as deputy to Governor Mohammed Abubakar from 2018 to 2019 and was buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
