William Troost‑Ekong has expressed confidence that the Super Eagles will qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, DAILY POST reports.
The Super Eagles have been drawn into Group L of the qualifiers, where they will face Madagascar, co‑hosts Tanzania, and Guinea‑Bissau.
Troost‑Ekong described the three opponents as minnows but said he believes the Super Eagles will overcome the challenge.
“It is not an easy group, but I trust them to get over the line,” the former Super Eagles captain told CAFonline.
The Super Eagles will open their qualifying campaign with a home match against Madagascar’s Barea in September.
Éric Chelle’s side finished third at the last edition of the AFCON hosted by Morocco.
