Troops recover suspected stolen motorcycle in Plateau

Troops of Sector 6 under Operation Enduring Peace have recovered a suspected stolen motorcycle in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The development was disclosed in a post shared on X on Friday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.

According to the post, the incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Thursday along the Bachi-Banghai road after troops received information about suspected motorcycle snatchers operating in the area.

The troops were said to have quickly mobilised and moved after the suspects.

During the pursuit, the suspects reportedly abandoned the motorcycle and fled on sighting the security personnel.

Security sources said the recovered motorcycle has been taken into custody, while efforts are ongoing to trace the rightful owner and arrest the fleeing suspects.
