Troops kill several terrorists during patrol in Zamfara.

Several terrorists were killed when troops launched a fighting patrol in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The operation, shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Saturday, was carried out by the 1 Brigade Quick Reaction Force (QRF) under Operation FANSAN YANMA.

According to security sources, the soldiers moved into the area around 10:00 a.m. on May 22 after receiving intelligence that terrorists were present near Yan Doto village.

They entered the Yanware community and engaged the suspected terrorists in a firefight. Several of the attackers were killed, while others fled, sustaining injuries.

Following the clash, the troops searched the surrounding area but did not encounter any additional suspects.
