Troops from the Nigerian 196 Amphibious Battalion detained a woman suspected of collaborating with ISWAP terrorists in Baga town, Kukawa Local Government Area, Borno State.
The arrest was announced by security analyst Zagazola Makama on his X handle on Thursday.
Security sources told Makama that the suspect was seized at approximately 8 am on May 20 during a routine check by troops at the C Company site in the Lawanti area of Baga.
Items recovered from the woman included four packs of ready‑to‑use supplementary food, two hijabs, and a wristwatch.
Preliminary investigations suggest the suspect was transporting the items to her son, who is believed to be an ISWAP member operating in the Dumba general area.
Military officials said the woman was taken into custody for further investigation and other necessary actions.
