Transfer: Three Premier League clubs compete for Nigeria’s Zadok Yohanna, but no deal reached

No agreements were reached with any Premier League club on Wednesday regarding a transfer for Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna, as Newcastle United, Chelsea and Brighton continue to compete for his signature.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports said talks will resume on Thursday, with the three clubs still in the race.

Brighton is pushing hard to sign Yohanna, while Newcastle, Chelsea and others are also involved.

Yohanna currently plays for AIK.

Brighton submitted a €23 million bid last weekend, and Newcastle United tabled a €24 million offer for the young player.

The 18‑year‑old winger has made a strong impression in the Swedish top flight this season after breaking into the first team.

He has scored two goals and provided three assists in seven league appearances for AIK.
