OGC Nice sporting director, Roger Ricort has said Terem Moffi will leave the club on a permanent basis this summer, DAILY POST reports.

Moffi spent the second half of last season on loan at Portuguese Superliga champions FC Porto.

The Nigeria international pushed to leave Nice after he was attacked by the club’s supporters alongside Ivory Coast international Jeremie Boga following the  defeat to Lorient last  November.

Boga also moved to Serie A giants Juventus on loan in January. That move has now been made permanent.

Moffi has however return to Nice after Porto opted not to activate the €8 million clause in his contract.

The 27-year-old reported for pre-season training on Wednesday despite the uncertainty surrounding his future.

Ricort made it clear that he expects the striker to leave the Allianz Riviera before the end of the transfer window.

“He is one the list of players we want to leave. He will surely be transferred elsewhere,” Ricort told GFFN.

“We don’t necessarily respect the man but we will respect the player. At the moment, he knows that he won’t be able to play for Nice any more.”
