NNEWI — The Coalition of Traders and Youths Association of Nigeria has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term, urging Nigerians to support his re-election in the 2027 presidential poll.
The group also appealed to citizens to remain patient with the administration, noting that its policies have begun to restore hope that the country will soon improve economically.
According to the association, traders across the 37 states are especially pleased with the Tinubu administration, citing smoother clearance of goods at the ports, which they say was previously plagued by delays and seizures.
The endorsement was contained in a statement signed by the group’s Deputy National President, Chief David William Umeh, and National Secretary, Mr. Raymond Ojobu.
The group also requested inclusion in the President’s campaign structure, saying traders should be directly involved in mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 election.
It added that direct engagement with the presidency would strengthen support and improve coordination across markets nationwide.
The statement read in part: “Since President Bola Tinubu took over leadership in the country, we have not witnessed seizures of traders’ goods at the wharf as was previously common.”
It further urged the President to create space for traders within his campaign team, insisting on direct access rather than intermediaries.
“Our association has members across all 37 states and markets nationwide. We are ready to mobilise massively for your victory in 2027,” the group stated.
The coalition expressed confidence that its nationwide structure would contribute significantly to Tinubu’s re-election bid.
