Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has become one of the most talked-about players at Trabzonspor this summer, with his future at the club uncertain. Afrik-Foot reports.
The 32-year-old marksman enjoyed a brilliant campaign with the Turkish side last season, contributing 26 goals and two assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.
Much of his success was down to his individual ingenuity; he was a complete attacking arsenal, as he proved to be lethal with both his feet and his head.

Following this impressive season, speculation surrounding an exit has intensified.
Bundesliga clubs Bayer Leverkusen, VfL Wolfsburg, and Werder Bremen have all been touted as potential destinations, though no concrete developments have come up yet.
However, Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli have also been monitoring the Nigerian’s progress and appears prepared to make a formal approach soon.
Previous reports indicated they were willing to offer him quadruple his current salary at Trabzonspor.

Why Paul Onuachu Might Dump Trabzonspor For Al-Ahli
In a recent interview, Onuachu suggested that he had fulfilled his goal of elevating Trabzonspor’s performance levels.
Having spent only one year at the club — securing the Golden Boot and the Turkish Cup — he seemingly feels he has reached his peak with the team.
With Al-Ahli now pursuing him with a lucrative proposal, a move appears increasingly likely. Onuachu currently earns approximately €47,000 weekly in Trabzon; reports suggest Al-Ahli is prepared to offer as much as €460,000 per week.

At 32, Onuachu is approaching the final years of his career, and he will definitely not get this kind of offer again. As his career begins to drag to a halt, maximizing his earnings is definitely a logical decision.
Meanwhile, the Turkish giants are open to a sale but are holding out for a fee in the region of €15 million, provided the player formally requests an exit.

With pre-season training set to resume in two weeks, the striker will be eager to resolve his future as soon as possible.
