Tinubu Wins Bauchi APC Presidential Primary with 156,541 Votes, Defeating Rival

President Bola Tinubu emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary in Bauchi State, receiving 156,541 votes in the exercise held across the state.

Tinubu defeated his sole challenger, Stanley Osifo, who polled 2,650 votes.

The result was announced by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, who served as the state collation officer for the primary election.

Speaking after the announcement, Pate said the exercise was peaceful, orderly and well coordinated, noting that the turnout reflected sustained support for Tinubu among party members in the state.

He commended party officials and stakeholders for ensuring a hitch‑free process.

Delegates and APC stakeholders from all 20 local government areas of Bauchi State participated in the primary.

The outcome further cements Tinubu’s dominance within the party as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general election.
