Tinubu Secures APC Presidential Primary in Ogun, Garnering 322,485 Votes

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured the All Progressives Congress presidential primary in Ogun State, receiving 322,485 votes, while his rival Stanley Osifo failed to obtain any votes.

At the collation and result centre on Saturday, state governor Dapo Abiodun, who acted as the APC primary collation officer, remarked that the outcome reflected a united state committed to supporting Tinubu’s administration beyond 2027.

Abiodun reported that 343,407 people were registered to vote, 323,164 were accredited, and a total of 322,485 votes were cast.

The Daily Post noted that each returning officer read the results from the 20 local government areas to the governor.

In Abeokuta North, Tinubu received 26,043 votes; in Abeokuta South, 24,948; in Obafemi Owode, 14,733; in Ado‑Odo/Ota, 39,100; in Ewekoro, 11,575; in Remo North, 8,343; in Sagamu, 19,319; and in Ifo, 24,207.

Other areas reported the following: Ijebu North, 15,422; Ijebu North East, 6,035; Ijebu Ode, 13,410; Ijebu East, 5,951; Ikenne, 9,802; Odogbolu, 9,692; Ipokia, 20,632; Imeko‑Afon, 9,589; Odeda, 16,666; Ogun Waterside, 24,207; Yewa North, 19,125; and Yewa South, 20,980.

The Daily Post added that Stanley Osifo received zero votes in every local government area.

Abiodun announced the results, stating: “At the end of the voting exercise, the aspirants scored the following votes: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu scored 322,485 votes, and Stanley Osifo scored zero votes.”

He continued, “By the authority of the National Working Committee, I hereby declare President Bola Ahmed Tinubu winner of the Ogun State presidential primary election.”
