During the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary held nationwide, incumbent President Bola Tinubu was declared the winner in Osun State.

Tinubu received 100,880 votes, defeating his opponent, Stanley Osifo, who received no votes.

On Saturday, the Osun State collation officer, Gboyega Oyetola—who also serves as the minister of marine and blue economy—announced the result in Osogbo and praised party members for their peaceful conduct.

Oyetola noted that the party has 109,806 digitally registered members in the state, of whom 100,880 were accredited to vote.

“By the powers vested in me as the Collation Officer for Osun State, I hereby declare His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as the winner of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Primary Election 2026 in Osun State.”

“As we move forward, I urge all members of our great party to remain steadfast, united and committed to the collective task before us. The journey ahead requires sacrifice, unity of purpose and sustained mobilisation as we work together towards another decisive electoral victory for our great party, beginning with the forthcoming governorship election on August 15, 2026.”

“This exercise has once again demonstrated that the All Progressives Congress remains a party firmly rooted in democratic values, internal cohesion, transparency and progressive governance. The peaceful conduct witnessed across the thirty Local Government Areas of Osun State, including the Ife East Area Office, is a testament to the enduring strength and unity of our party.”
