President Bola Tinubu secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary with 10,999,967 votes, decisively defeating his sole opponent, Stanley Osifo, who received 16,504 votes across the 37 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The results were compiled at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja on Sunday, drawing from direct primary elections held simultaneously in all 8,809 wards on Saturday, May 23.
The figures reflect the presentations of state collation officers. A formal announcement, declaration, and presentation of a certificate of return are expected from the Chief Returning Officer before the event concludes.
Tinubu’s strongest performances came from Adamawa State, where he garnered 644,149 votes, followed by Kaduna with 618,914 and Lagos, his political base, with 814,988 votes—the highest single‑state tally. Imo State returned 582,960 votes for him, while Kano delivered 500,852.
Osifo received minimal support, with his best returns in Niger State (5,248 votes), Kano (2,675), Bauchi (2,650), and Abia (1,007). He scored zero in 21 reporting units, including the FCT, Osun, Kogi, Delta, Ebonyi, Jigawa, Kwara, Borno, Enugu, Kebbi, Ondo, Yobe, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Ekiti, Ogun, Sokoto, Cross River, Taraba, Gombe, and Edo, where he received only one vote.
