President Bola Tinubu said his administration has stabilized the telecommunications sector since it began.
He made the comment on Friday during a speech marking the third anniversary of his administration.
Tinubu explained that after years of intense operational pressures and falling investment, confidence is slowly returning to the sector.
He added that telecom operators are expanding networks, investing in infrastructure, hiring Nigerian talent, and broadening digital access across the country.
“We also took decisive action to stabilise the telecommunications sector, which remains one of the most important drivers of modern economic growth,” Tinubu said.
“A connected Nigeria is a more competitive Nigeria. Digital infrastructure is now essential to commerce, education, innovation, and national productivity.”
