'You worked hard for victory,' Tinubu commends Uzodimma, Ododo

Governor Ahmed Ododo has declared the Confluence State’s support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 reelection campaign, describing the effort as his own “personal project.”

The announcement was made on Monday in Lokoja by Kogi Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo.

Ododo praised Tinubu’s decisive victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary, stating it confirmed the president’s visionary leadership and growing national acceptance.

The governor said the broad support for Tinubu reflects the confidence of party members and Nigerians in his bold, reform‑driven administration and commitment to national development.

He highlighted President Tinubu’s “uncommon love” for Kogi, citing landmark approvals and interventions that are set to transform the state’s economic prospects.

“I see Mr. President’s reelection as a personal project to unlock the enormous potential of Kogi,” the governor said.

“Mr. President has granted approvals for the establishment of an airport, a Free Trade Zone, an Agricultural Processing Zone and many other transformational projects,” the statement quoted the governor.

Ododo emphasized that Kogi’s support for Tinubu’s return is both an act of gratitude and a strategic decision, adding, “for us in Kogi, the reelection of Mr. President is a reward for his love for the state and for the greatness of our nation.”

He added that “his economic reforms are reshaping our nation and laying the foundation for long‑term prosperity.”

The governor lauded Tinubu for pursuing bold economic reforms despite challenges, noting that history will favor leaders who make difficult decisions for future stability and prosperity.

Ododo assured Tinubu of the full support of the Kogi Government and its people ahead of the 2027 general elections, reaffirming the state’s commitment to progressive governance, economic transformation, and national unity.

The governor also praised Tinubu for submitting himself to the democratic process despite being the National Leader of the party, saying the gesture had further endeared him to Nigerians.

With this pledge, Kogi joins a growing list of states positioning themselves to mobilize behind the President’s reelection campaign.
