President Bola Tinubu cautioned that politicians lacking a clear vision could push the country backward.

Tinubu made the remark on Sunday after receiving the Certificate of Return and the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC), confirming his candidacy for the 2027 presidential election.

He pledged to strengthen the reforms his administration has begun, to work more diligently for the future that Nigerians have long desired, and to set the country on an irreversible course over the next four years.

The president also expressed his readiness to engage in dialogue with political opponents and critics of his administration.

He added that democracy thrives not on uniformity of thought but on a diversity of ideas united by a shared belief in the nation.

“We will not allow any opposition with no clear vision to take Nigeria backward.”

“To those who despise our philosophy, we offer dialogue and engagement, not anger, confident that the sincerity of our purpose and the results of our work will speak for themselves,” he said.
