President Bola Tinubu has named Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas as the new Director General of the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA).
A statement released yesterday by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga confirmed the appointment.
Namdas succeeds Dr. Dakorinama George, who resigned to run for an elective office in his home state.
Previously, Namdas served as a member of the House of Representatives for the Ganye/Jada/Mayo Belwa/Toungo federal constituency of Adamawa State. He was also the spokesperson of the 8th House of Representatives and a candidate in the recent Adamawa State governorship primary. In addition to his legislative experience, Namdas has worked as a seasoned journalist and public‑relations professional, and he was the Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Boni Haruna of Adamawa State.
President Tinubu also appointed Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon as Executive Director, Strategy & Commercial, of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).
He further reappointed Mr. Chukwuma Umeoji as Executive Director, Corporate Services, of the NDPHC.
Obahiagbon replaces Omoregie Ogbeide‑Ihama, who resigned from his position to pursue a political career in his home state. Obahiagbon has served in both the Edo State House of Assembly and the National Assembly.
Umeoji, a former member of the Federal House of Representatives for Aguata Federal Constituency in Anambra State during the 9th National Assembly, was reappointed after resigning to pursue political ambitions in his home state.
All appointments take effect immediately.
