Tinubu has given his best on security — Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has said that President Bola Tinubu has done his utmost to tackle Nigeria’s worsening security crisis.

In an interview with Channels Television, Fayose attributed the rise in insecurity to the administration that preceded the current one, led by former President Muhammadu Buhari.

He claimed that the president is being pressured by the security situation ahead of the 2027 election.

“President Tinubu may not be a perfect person, but he has given his best,” Fayose said. “Things were worse at the end of Buhari’s administration. President Tinubu literally handed the government to himself by taking over from Buhari.”

“As a decent man, a man who would not want to say he has abandoned the northerners, he took everything to heart and managed the damage done by the last administration,” he added.

“When Jonathan was about to leave office, he was blackmailed in the same way through insecurity.”
