On Wednesday, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike announced that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is delivering on its promises to Nigerians and residents of the capital.

Wike assured that Tinubu’s administration “is here to solve problems and the challenges of the people.”

He made the remarks during the official commissioning of the 7‑km Phase 1 of the Kuje‑to‑Gwagwalada Dual Carriage Way, a project slated to mark Tinubu’s third‑year anniversary.

The minister noted that many roads are unpaved, making it hard for security forces to navigate and apprehend criminals.

He mentioned a road from Airport Road to Kuje town that had been commissioned a week earlier but was not awarded by the administration and left unfinished because no contractor was assigned. He said the road has become a hotspot for criminal activity and requested that the contractor be allowed to resume work.

When asked about the contractor, the response was Arab Contractors. Wike replied that the traditional ruler should be assured that under this administration, the President’s satisfaction aligns with the people’s well‑being. He added that when citizens are content, the President and his team are also content, whereas when people are unhappy, the President feels the disappointment.

He expressed satisfaction that the administration has honored its pledge, recalling that in August the government assured stakeholders it would complete the road. He also noted that the traditional ruler of Kuje has witnessed a government that keeps its promises.
