Three soldiers hospitalized after crash on Abuja–Koton Karfe road

Three soldiers were hospitalized after a collision between a military vehicle and a truck on the Abuja–Koton Karfe highway.

The incident was reported in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Saturday.

According to the report, the crash took place on June 17 on the Jamata–Koton Karfe–Abuja road in Kogi State while the troops were on duty.

Sources said the soldiers, who belong to the 12 Brigade stationed in the Pipeline area of Agboja, suffered minor injuries.

“They were immediately taken to a medical facility, where they are currently receiving treatment and responding well.”

“The military vehicle involved in the accident has since been recovered and moved to the Patrol Base in Gegu for further assessment,” Makama added.

Authorities have begun investigating the cause of the accident.

No lives were lost in the incident.
