Three Nigerian Athletes Qualify for Men’s 400m Semi‑finals at ASAC 2026

Three Nigerian sprinters—Emmanuel Ojeli, Adewale Sikiru, and Samson Nathaniel—have advanced to the men’s 400‑metre semifinals at the African Athletics Championships in Accra, Ghana.

They reached the final four after qualifying from the preliminary heats.

Ojeli finished his heat in 45.64 seconds, Sikiru in 46.25 seconds, and Nathaniel in 46.67 seconds.

In the men’s shot put, Emmanuel Audu made his senior debut for Nigeria and posted a solid performance.

He finished fifth in the final.
