Terem Moffi’s time at OGC Nice appears to be drawing to a close, with the Super Eagles striker understood to be seeking a move away from the Côte d’Azur this summer, Afrik Foot reports.
The 27-year-old joined Nice from Lorient in January 2023, initially on loan before joining permanently the following summer.
While an ACL injury disrupted his growth in the South of France, Moffi joined FC Porto on loan in January 2026, winning the Liga Portugal. However, the Dragons refused to activate the clause that would have made his stay with Francisco Farioli’s side permanent.

OGC Nice Sporting Director Roger Ricort recently confirmed that the club are actively seeking suitors for the Nigerian as they plan their squad for their upcoming Ligue 1 campaign.
“He is on the list of players we want to leave. He will surely be transferred elsewhere,” the 67-year-old said in quotes revealed by GFFN.
“We don’t necessarily respect the man, but we will respect the player. At the moment, he knows that he won’t be able to play for Nice anymore, either.
”I think that would show a lack of respect to our supporters, but so long as he is here, we will try and be proper with him and his agents.
“When he finds a club, we will shake hands and wish each other good luck,” the OGC Nice Sporting Director concluded.

1. Besiktas
The first destination that makes sense is Besiktas. The Turkish club are rebuilding their attacking department under new head coach Vincenzo Italiano, and their need for a direct centre-forward capable of leading the line aligns closely with Moffi’s profile.
Besiktas have previously shown interest in the Nigerian, and the financial requirements of the transfer would be considerably low, considering OGC Nice want Moffi out as soon as possible.

2. Olympique de Marseille
The second option is a return to Ligue 1 with a club better suited to maximising his profile.
Marseille, who have been exploring the striker market this summer amid reports of Mason Greenwood’s departure, represent the most compelling domestic alternative.
While Akor Adams has been their primary target, the negotiations around the Sevilla striker have been complicated by fee discussions and Adams’ public ambiguity about a move.

At the Vélodrome, with a passionate fanbase and regular European football, Moffi would enjoy the kind of high-profile environment that would allow him to thrive when things are going well.
However, Marseille fans can also be vocal when things are going badly, and that will be something the Super Eagle striker considers before making the switch.
3. Coventry City
The most ambitious option is a move to a Premier League club. Moffi’s physical attributes are qualities that naturally fit the demands of English football, and several newly promoted or mid-table clubs have been known to explore Ligue 1 for value-driven acquisitions when their primary targets prove too expensive.
Coventry City, building for their first Premier League season, have already signed Frank Onyeka and identified players from outside England’s top flight as part of their recruitment philosophy.
A striker with Moffi’s profile and experience would be vital to their hopes of avoiding an immediate return to the EFL Championship.

Of the three clubs, Marseille offers the clearest pathway to regular playing time for Terem Moffi, but whichever destination he chooses, the priority must be the same: one that prioritises regular football, a system that suits him, and the environment to finally prove that the player who lit up Ligue 1 at Lorient is still very much alive.
