Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has offered words of encouragement to his former club following their Champions League final loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.

Henry was in attendance at the Stadium in Budapest as Arsenal were defeated by PSG in a penalty shoot‑out after a 1‑1 draw.

Speaking to CBS Sports, Henry urged the Gunners not to linger too long on the defeat to Luis Enrique’s side.

He said that failure can serve as a catalyst for growth and that the team should aim to perform better next season.

“To reach the Champions League final with the best teams in Europe and fight to a penalty shoot‑out, as well as winning the Premier League, this is a great season for Arsenal Football Club,” Henry said.

“You just lost to a very good team. You pushed them to their limits. But failure can also help you grow, so feel it, but don’t dwell on it. We will be back.”
