Following the cancellation of their training tour in the United Kingdom, the Super Falcons will face a qualified opponent in a friendly next month as preparation for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Coach Justine Madugu had arranged for her squad to play Jamaica in a friendly at the end of the month as part of their WAFCON 2026 preparation.

Jamaica subsequently withdrew, citing administrative problems.

The Super Falcons will instead host the AFCON‑qualified side in a two‑legged friendly during the next international window, scheduled for June 7–14.

Nigeria will aim to secure an unprecedented 11th WAFCON title in Morocco in July.

The team is placed in Group C alongside Malawi, Zambia and Egypt.

The tournament runs from July 25 to August 16.
