After an outstanding campaign, Paul Onuachu is on the transfer wishlist of some wealthy clubs but Trabzonspor have made it clear they will not let him leave cheaply, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Super Eagles striker is under contract with the Turkish club until June 30, 2028, after joining permanently from Southampton in a €5.6 million deal in 2025. Since then, the 32-year-old has been a nightmare for defenders and goalkeepers in the Süper Lig.
Onuachu enjoyed a remarkable season, netting 26 goals in 36 matches in all competitions. His performances helped Trabzonspor finish third in the Süper Lig and lift the Turkish Cup, where he scored twice in the final. He also finished as the league’s joint-top scorer with 22 goals, alongside Başakşehir striker Eldor Shomurodov.

Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal and Al-Ahli have both submitted concrete offers and are reportedly prepared to triple or even quadruple his current salary. Fellow Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe have also entered the race with an official bid.
Interest has also emerged from Germany, where Bundesliga clubs Bayer Leverkusen, VfL Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen are monitoring the Nigerian striker.
Despite the growing competition, Trabzonspor are under no financial pressure to sell, while Onuachu is also not desperate to leave. The club have placed a €15 million valuation on Onuachu and have already rejected an €11 million offer, while also turning down at least two formal bids from Saudi Arabia.

Trabzonspor vice-president Zeyyat Kafkas has confirmed that the club have already received three official offers for Onuachu but insisted the Nigerian remains a key part of their plans for the 2026-27 season.
Speaking about the striker’s future, Kafkas told Ege de SonSoz:
“There are offers for Onuachu. We received two offers from Türkiye and one from Saudi Arabia.”
He added that the club are not actively looking to sell their leading scorer.
“Onuachu is part of our core squad, and we don’t want to disrupt it unless the offer is a very large sum.”

“But as I said, if a very good offer comes in, and we consider all the parameters and decide we should let him go, then we might. Actually, we don’t have any players who are unsellable.”
He also explained why the club are keen to keep the core of the squad together after last season’s success.
“We have a certain playing style from last year, and we don’t want to stray too far from that core.”
While transfer speculation continues, Onuachu remains fully focused on pre-season preparations. The former FC Ebedei striker trained with his teammates on Thursday evening at the Mehmet Ali Yılmaz Facilities as Trabzonspor continue building towards the new season.
