Super Eagles player receives Ronaldo’s shirt after 2-1 loss to Portugal

After Portugal’s 2‑1 victory over Nigeria in an international friendly on Wednesday night, there was a surge of interest in the captain’s jersey.

Defender Bruno Onyemaechi became the fortunate Super Eagles player to receive the shirt.

Onyemaechi posted the Ronaldo shirt on his social media a few hours after the match.

Ronaldo himself shared a photo of the right‑back on Instagram with the caption: “The preparation is done. Eyes on the World Cup.”

The five‑time Ballon d’Or winner attracted attention from Nigerian players and coaches, who crowded around him at full‑time to snap photos.

Ronaldo played 64 minutes and missed several opportunities to score against the Eagles.
