Super Eagles Midfielder Wins UEFA Conference League Fans’ Goal Of The Season

Christantus Uche has been named the winner of the UEFA Europa Conference League Fans’ Goal of the Season award for the 2025/26 campaign.

Uche earned the accolade with a stunning strike in Crystal Palace’s 2‑2 draw against Finnish side KuPS Kuopio in December 2025.

The Nigeria international’s goal combined skill and composure. After receiving the ball just outside the penalty area, he out‑dribbled his marker with a clever move before curling a brilliant trivela past the goalkeeper into the net.

The impressive strike was one of two goals Uche scored during Crystal Palace’s successful UEFA Europa Conference League campaign.

Uche Beat Four Players To Individual Accolade

Shakhtar Donetsk forward Isaque Silva finished second in the voting after his stunning overhead kick against Lech Poznań in the Round of 16.

Defender Florian Lejeune of Spanish club Rayo Vallecano took third place with a spectacular long‑range effort against Drita during the league phase.

Aboubakary Koita of Samsunspor claimed fourth spot for his brilliant solo goal against AEK Athens, while Rayo Vallecano’s Alemao completed the top five with a powerful strike from distance against Samsunspor in the Round of 16.

Disappointing End At Palace

Uche joined Crystal Palace from Spanish club Getafe on a season‑long deal last summer.

The 23‑year‑old did not feature in the UEFA Europa Conference League during the second half of the season after being omitted from Crystal Palace’s squad for the competition.

He made 14 league appearances for the Eagles, failing to register a goal or an assist.
