Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, known as Igboho, has issued a stern warning to Yorubas who are collaborating with kidnapping groups in the Southwest.
Igboho vowed to kill any Yoruba individual found working with Fulani groups to abduct residents.
He delivered the statement at the palace of the Chief of Igboho in the Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Igboho alleged that some Yoruba indigenes were partnering with criminal gangs to abduct their own kinsmen.
“There are some Yorubas collaborating with Fulani groups in the kidnapping of our people and aiding them.”
“I will kill any Yoruba person supporting and conniving with Fulani to kidnap in our lands; the judgement for such a person is death.”
“Anybody that hails from Igboho and is supporting Fulani groups to kidnap people will not end well.”
This follows Igboho’s two‑hour ultimatum to the Fulani community in his hometown to release a kidnapped pregnant woman and her sibling over the weekend.
