Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, and a large number of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters gathered to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the party’s presidential primary on Saturday.

According to a statement from Governor Buni’s media aide, Mamman Mohammed, party members who assembled behind Gov. Buni in Buni‑Gari, Gujba Local Government Area, shouted “Tinubu Our President, Tinubu for a Second Term.”

The governor said he was pleased with the process, describing it as “free, fair and credible.”

“The large turnout by party members is quite encouraging; it reflects the faith of the members in President Tinubu for a second term of office,” the governor added.

Gov. Buni urged APC members to foster unity and to broaden support for all party candidates and for Tinubu’s re‑election.

He reported that his office received information indicating a peaceful and substantial turnout of party members across the state.

In Nguru Local Government Area, hundreds of APC card‑holders also turned out in large numbers to participate in the nationwide presidential primary, voting for Tinubu as the party’s flag‑bearer.

Party members arrived at polling centres across Nguru LGA early in the day, and the exercise was noted for its enthusiasm and orderliness.

Yobe State APC governorship candidate Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, who observed the voting in his Nglaiwa Ward, praised the electorate for their steadfastness and unwavering support for the party.
