Six incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) members of the Ebonyi State House of Representatives have secured nominations to contest the 2027 general elections.
The announcement came after the party’s National Secretariat confirmed receipt of the primary results from six Ebonyi constituencies, held on Saturday.
The results were submitted to the APC National Assembly Primary Election Committee, chaired by Barrister Kennedy Ekong, by the six returning officers who oversaw the primaries in each federal constituency.
In his announcement, Barrister Ekong named the winners: Hon. Iduma Igariwey Enwo for Afikpo/Edda with 15,157 votes; Hon. Kama Nkemkanma for Ohanivo with 30,044 votes; and Hon. Chinedu Ogah for Ezza South/Ikwo with 34,780 votes.
The committee also declared Hon. Joseph Nwobasi the victor for Ezza North/Ishielu with 22,081 votes, Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu with 18,620 votes, and Hon. Emmanuel Uguru for Abakaliki/Izzi with 22,821 votes.
The returning officers who submitted the results were Nwali Alphonsus Chinedu for Afikpo/Edda, Barr. Ikeuwa Omebe for Ohanivo, Hon. Paul James Nwogha for Ezza South/Ikwo, Barrister Emmanuel Igbokwe for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu, and Emmanuel Uguru for Abakaliki/Izzi.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Eze Nwachukwu, the representative for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu, praised the committee’s work and pledged continued loyalty to the APC, aiming to secure victory in next year’s election.
