Seyi Tinubu Responds to Cubana Chief Priest Losing APC Ticket in Imo

Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, has responded to the defeat of celebrity entrepreneur Pascal Okechukwu—known as Cubana Chief Priest—in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the House of Representatives seat covering Orsu, Orlu and Oru East in Imo State.

Okechukwu, who sought the APC nomination for the 2027 general election, was defeated by the incumbent representative Canice Nwachukwu, receiving only 14 votes.

After the result was announced, Seyi Tinubu posted a message of encouragement on his Instagram, which was later shared by Okechukwu. He urged the nightlife promoter not to be discouraged, reminding him that setbacks can pave the way for future success.

Okechukwu also addressed the outcome in a video that circulated online, stating that he had no regrets about running. He expressed disappointment over the low vote count and raised questions about the role of party stakeholders in the process.
