Seven people lost their lives in a fatal road accident that took place late Monday night on the Malam Madori–Hadejia Road in Jigawa State. The crash involved the Chairman of Kafin Hausa Local Government Area, who survived but was injured.

According to an eyewitness speaking to DAILY POST, the collision occurred at about 9:45 p.m. at Kashin Dila Junction. A Toyota Starlet commercial vehicle and a black Mercedes‑Benz (GLK) were involved.

The Toyota Starlet, driven by Adamu Dakido, was traveling from Hadejia to Malam Madori with passengers aboard when it struck the GLK head‑on.

The Mercedes‑Benz was carrying the Kafin Hausa LGA chairman and his driver from Gumel to Kafin Hausa at the time of the incident.

The impact was so severe that all six occupants of the Toyota Starlet died instantly.

The driver of the GLK also died on the scene, bringing the total death toll to seven.

The chairman survived the crash but sustained injuries of varying severity and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police officers arrived quickly, removing the injured chairman and the bodies of the deceased to the General Hospital in Hadejia.

Attempts to secure an official statement from Jigawa State Police Public Relations Officer SP Shi’isu Adam were unsuccessful.
