Serie A: Why I Accepted the AC Milan Managerial Role – Amorim

AC Milan confirmed Ruben Amorim as their new manager on Tuesday.

Amorim has been without a club since his dismissal from Manchester United in January.

He will take over from Max Allegri at the San Siro.

After the appointment was announced, Amorim spoke about his enthusiasm for coaching the Serie A side.

“There are ambitions that accompany you throughout your career and, for me, coaching Milan has always been one of them,” Amorim said.

“I know perfectly well what AC Milan represents: history, prestige and extraordinary fans all over the world. It is a challenge that I face with pride and enthusiasm, with full awareness of what these colours mean.”
