Nurses give Kwara government two weeks to address
In late May 2024, the Kwara State chapter of the Nigerian Nurses Association issued an ultimatum to the state government, giving it two weeks to resolve outstanding salary arrears, unpaid hazard allowances and other welfare issues for nurses. The union warned that failure to meet the deadline would lead to industrial action, including strikes and protests, to pressure the administration into fulfilling its contractual obligations to health workers.
