Itsekiri Group Rejects INEC’s New Ward and Polling

The Itsekiri Development Union (IDU) and other Itsekiri groups in Nigeria’s Delta State publicly rejected the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) recent ward‑boundary and polling‑unit re‑demarcation plan, saying it unfairly splits Itsekiri communities, dilutes their voting power and violates constitutional provisions for minority representation.
