Wolfsburg is a city in Lower Saxony, Germany, located about 30 km east of Hanover. Founded in 1938 as a workers’ settlement for the Volkswagen plant, it is best known as the headquarters of Volkswagen AG and home to the Bundesliga football club VfL Wolfsburg, which plays at the Volkswagen Arena.
