Getafe is a city and municipality in the Community of Madrid, Spain, located about 13 km (8 mi) south of central Madrid. With a population of roughly 190,000, it is part of the Madrid metropolitan area and is known for its industrial zones, the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid campus, and the football club Getafe CF, which plays in La Liga.
