Aarau FC is a Swiss professional football club based in the city of Aarau, Canton of Aargau. Founded in 1902, the team plays its home matches at the Brügglifeld Stadium (capacity 8,000). Known as “Die Roten” (the Reds), Aarau has spent most of its history in the Swiss Super League, winning the league title once (in 1992–93) and the Swiss Cup twice (1984–85, 1989–90).
