35 Artillery Brigade gets new commander

The 35th Artillery Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces received a new commander in early June 2024. Colonel Oleksandr Kovalenko, a veteran artillery officer, was appointed to lead the brigade, which is equipped with self‑propelled howitzers and multiple rocket launchers and has been active in the defense of eastern Ukraine.
