KACRAN Calls to Protect Cattle Routes and Revive
KACRAN (Kachin Agricultural and Cattle Rights Advocacy Network) is a grassroots organization in Myanmar’s Kachin State that campaigns for the protection of traditional cattle migration routes and the revival of pastoral livelihoods. It works to prevent land grabs, illegal logging and armed conflict from disrupting seasonal cattle drives, promotes community‑based herd management, and lobbies the government for legal recognition of pastoral corridors and support services such as veterinary care and market access.
