First 300 Ghanaians leave S’Africa after xenophobic tensions

In early September 2023, the first group of about 300 Ghanaian migrants left South Africa for Ghana after a wave of xenophobic attacks and heightened tensions targeting foreign nationals, especially West Africans, in several South African cities.
