Anti-labour practices: We won’t be silenced, NUPENG declares

NUPENG (Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers) issued a statement titled “Anti‑labour practices: We won’t be silenced,” condemning recent attempts by oil companies and government agencies to undermine workers’ rights. The union says employers are using intimidation, unlawful dismissals, wage cuts and the denial of collective bargaining to weaken unions. NUPENG vows to resist these tactics, calling for solidarity among workers, legal action against violators, and continued protests to protect fair wages, safe working conditions and the right to organize.
