transfer window

The transfer window is a set period each year during which professional sports clubs—most commonly in football (soccer)—are allowed to register new players from other clubs. Typically there are two windows: a longer “summer” window before the season starts and a shorter “winter” window mid‑season. Outside these dates, clubs may only sign free agents or make limited emergency moves. The system regulates player movement, contract negotiations, and transfer fees. Views Nigeria
