Michael S. Dell (born February 23 1965) is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist best known as the founder of Dell Technologies. He started Dell Computer Corporation from his dorm room in 1984, grew it into one of the world’s largest PC manufacturers, and later re‑merged with EMC to form Dell Technologies, where he serves as chairman and CEO.
