celtic

Celtic refers to the group of ancient Indo‑European peoples who shared related languages, cultures, and art across much of Western and Central Europe from the Iron Age through the early Middle Ages. Their languages form the Celtic language family (including Irish, Scottish Gaelic, Welsh, Breton, Cornish, and Manx). Today “Celtic” also describes the cultural heritage, music, mythology, and symbols (such as the Celtic knot) associated with these peoples, especially in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany, Cornwall, and the Isle of Man.
