Two women escape jungle justice in Akwa Ibom

In early May 2024, two women who had been seized by a mob in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, were rescued after a group of locals intervened and took them to safety, preventing them from being subjected to “jungle justice” (extrajudicial lynching).
