Tinubu commissions 4 MDGIF-supported CNG projects

Bola Tinubu, Nigeria’s president, officially launched four compressed natural‑gas (CNG) projects funded by the Multi‑Donor Group for Infrastructure and Finance (MDGIF). The projects—two CNG filling stations in Lagos and Abuja and two larger CNG distribution hubs in Port Harcourt and Kano—aim to expand clean‑fuel infrastructure, reduce reliance on diesel generators, lower emissions and support the country’s drive toward a greener transport sector. The MDGIF financing, provided by the World Bank, African Development Bank and other donors, covers construction, equipment and capacity‑building for local operators. Views Nigeria
