Thugs Assault Itsekiri Youth Protesters at INEC Headquarters

In early May 2024, a group of men identified as “thugs” attacked Itsekiri youth activists who were staging a protest at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. The youths were demonstrating against perceived marginalisation and demanding the release of a detained Itsekiri leader.
